Founder of Life Enrichment Skills, Ms. Towers has been teaching the principles of organizational development, leadership, and personal effectiveness to leaders in private industry, government, and education since 1990. Her first book, Seeds of Success: Nurturing the Greatness Within You, was released by Pelican Publishing in the Fall of 2009.

After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia in behavioral sciences, Ms. Towers earned her Master of Liberal Studies in the field of psychology from Mercer University. Prior to founding her own company, she worked with the Medical Center of Central Georgia as a Wellness Educator. Recognized by the Kellogg Foundation for her contributions to community wellness, Ms. Towers received a Career Enhancement Grant to study at wellness centers throughout the United States.

Ms. Towers’ exemplary success as a businesswoman, coupled with her enthusiastic support of the arts, brings a new energy and optimism to the MSO and its future.


Marian Porter

Marian joined the MSO as part-time Librarian and Office Assistant in October 2000, and became a full-time employee in 2006. Some of her office duties include librarian and box office manager, as well as backstage and rehearsal personnel assistant. She enjoys reading, sewing, and playing the organ at her church. Marian is a former piano instructor with a B. A. degree in organ from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA and is a lifetime member of the Delta Omicron, Professional Music Fraternity for Women. Marian is currently on the board of directors for Tattnall Square Academy. She is married to Perry who is Pastor of Tattnall Square Baptist Church and they have two grown children, Philip and Lauren.


Connie Davis

Connie DavisConnie Davis is a part-time office assistant for the Macon Symphony and serves on the leadership committee for the Friends of the Macon Symphony Orchestra. She is in her fourth year as the General Manager of the Mercer/Macon Symphony Youth Orchestra. She graduated from Mercer University in 2009 with a degree in Music Education. As a pianist, she embraces a wide range of styles and repertoire, from the mainstream works of Beethoven, Mozart and Brahms to contemporary and chamber works. In 2007, her piano trio was chosen as the winner of the Mercer University Townsend School of Music Chamber Music Competition.

At Mercer University, Connie played percussion in the Mercer Wind Ensemble and studied piano with Dr. Ian Altman. She held office as the Delta Tau Chapter Vice President of Mu Phi Epsilon International Music Fraternity and President of Mercer’s chapter of CMENC, The National Association for Music Education, and recently became a member of MTNA.

A firm believer in pedagogy, Connie continues to work with local bands. She teaches weekly private piano lessons for more than 25 young pianists, both at Mercer and at Wesley Music & Fine Arts Academy in Gray, GA.
